Why Does My Copier Company Leave Us Hanging?
Printer Leasing in St. Pete is Supposed to Be Easy
My printer leasing company in St. Pete is not really my favorite. We thought signing up for the “copier rental St. Petersburg businesses trust” would give us more time to operate our business, as opposed to worrying about if we can print, copy or scan. Here’s what many have experienced.
When we get a message on our copier machine to add toner, we call the copier company to tell them, and they send us one…right? So I asked them for an extra, just in case we ran out on at a busy time sensitive period. All I got was grief for wanting to get an extra toner. We pay this company around a thousand dollars per year for printer services, and they want to interrupt our daily business functioning over toner? What a pain in the butt, we will probably find a new St. Pete copier company next time.
We got a new copier printer 2 months ago. We first had 2 printer rental companies give us quotes. one was a little cheaper cost per copy on color. Instead of 6.5 cents per color page, the other company charges 4.5 cents per page. Yeah that was 2 cents per color page difference, which equaled $200 savings per year on 10,000 color pages. Anyhow, things were going great, then we called for a blue toner. We got it, along with a bill for $25 shipping! It also included charges for scans, what the heck? It wasn’t much per page, but it all adds up. I then called the other copier company to see if they would like to take service on the machine. They told us they did not charge for shipping or scans. Unfortunately the copier rental we got had a brand that not many companies want to service, so we were screwed. Lesson learned for the next printer copier lease.
Another irritating thing our St. Pete printer servicer did was hold us hostage for a bill that we never even received. We pay monthly for our copier maintenance, and it happened that our credit card was hacked, so we had to change. We tried to tell all vendors, but sometimes you miss one. We were out of toner on our printer, so we ordered some. The copier company told us no toner without payment. We told them what happened and they didn’t seem to care. Bad business guys!
We leased a new copier about 5 years ago. We paid all of our bills on time, and had very few copier service calls. Then the end of our lease came. We wanted to explore other opitons, but the leasing company gave us some insane figure to buyout the copier or return it. So I have to pay to return the copier, I thought? What a joke. Now I am stuck with this company.
