Short Term Copier Rental

Short term copier rentals are generally used for convention centers, law offices that travel for trials, trade shows, and long weekend meetings. Companies who use these types of rentals are: attorneys, professional sports teams, convention hosts, and other private businesses.

Long Term Printer Rentals

A long term printer rental, which is also referred to as a copier lease or printer lease, usually lasts twelve to sixty months. The most common long term printer rental is sixty months. Twelve to twenty four month rentals are generally used for businesses who are dipping their toe in the water, and usually not from the area.

Copier Rental Purchase

A copier lease or rental with a purchase option at the end allows the business to decide if they want to keep that copier after the lease ends, or if they want to get a different one. This type of copier printer rental is extremely common in the business world. It has many benefits and a few drawbacks. If you decide to purchase one, getting a copier maintenance service plan is advisable.

Question: So why would I get a long term copier rental when I can just lease a printer for say 10 months?
A 10 month printer rental will get you a good machine, albeit not the top notch copier, because what copier dealer wants to buy a machine, and get paid for only 10 months usage? They can try to lease it after the 10 months, but by that time it could have been used too much to re lease. A shorter term copier rental will cost you more. A longer term printer lease will get you a better machine at a lower price.

Question: What is included in my copier machine on rent??
There is a big misconception that all copier leases or printer rentals include all the maintenance like toners, drums, parts, labor etc. No maintenance is free. The price of the maintenance is just added to the copier amount. You can do a copier lease without the maintenance, but you are rolling the dice. Many dollar wise customers rent or lease a copier, then pay annually or monthly for the maintenance contract. This way, you don’t pay any finance charges on the service agreement portion of a copier lease. The choice is yours.

What if I am a new business?
We see many new businesses looking to lease a copier. There are a few considerations when trying to rent a printer. First, do you have good credit? The actual leasing portion is done by a bank. No company in there right mind wants to take the risk of leasing copiers en masse, when they could lose so much. Copier leasing companies(banks) rarely give good terms to someone who has been in business for under 2 years. They will give you the high risk printer lease rates, which include some extra finance fees, as well as direct withdrawal of the payment. We are not trying to dissuade you from leasing, but just be aware of the cost. We do a good job at finding the right copiers for newer businesses, so you pay a fair rate.

Copier Leasing-Not Reading The Proposal

Keep your copy of the printer rental proposal. It should be quite specific on what is included and what is not. It should show you the price and any taxes or fees. Does it include printer maintenance? What about customer support? Is it included, or an extra fee. We are transparent with all proposals.

Many times customers do not read what is include in the copier maintenance portion of your copier rental. While it should be comprehensive, competitors rarely make it comprehensive, in order to beat us on price. We strive for transparency, so we give you the full suite of copier service.
